goop Kitchen is bringing much needed clarity to the term “clean” with our own defined standard, goop Certified Clean. If you see GCC used to describe something on the menu, it means that item has no refined sugars, processed foods, gluten, dairy, corn, peanuts, or preservatives.
Sustainability
The menu has been designed with a commitment to sourcing responsibly, with well-being and the integrity of our ingredients—sustainably sourced fish, organic local produce whenever possible—top of mind. And thoughtful investment in packaging means that our fully recyclable bags and rPET containers are as sustainable as they are functional.
Our bags are 100 percent recyclable thanks to woven-paper rope handles and a collapsible paper body. Our bowl and salad containers are made using recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET). Each rPET container saves between 3 and 3½ recycled plastic bottles and can be recycled over and over again.
Projections suggest that over the course of a year, the containers from a single goop Kitchen restaurant can potentially save over 25,000 pounds of plastic from landfills and over 35,000 pounds of CO2 from the atmosphere.

We’ve been led to believe that if food tastes like greens—and not much else—it must be healthy. In reality, food doesn’t have to taste like, well…cardboard to be good for you. All food, clean or otherwise, should be enjoyable; what matters is the integrity of the ingredients and where they come from.
Our sauces and marinades labeled GCC meet the goop Certified Clean standard: no processed sugars, processed foods, gluten, dairy, peanuts, or preservatives. Our chicken is organic and free-range. Our salmon comes from the fjords of Norway with the highest standards of quality in mind and is Best Aquaculture Practices, Global G.A.P., and ASC certified. Our produce and greens are sourced organic and locally whenever possible.
